Join The Mischief and Mystery in Moominvalley this April

Tove Jansson’s much-loved Moomins is brought to life this April at Darwen Library Theatre in Get Lost and Found’s charming interactive puppetry show.

Discover the world of the Moomins where anything is possible! Be sure to pack your imagination and join us on an unforgettable journey to Moominvalley where everyone is welcome, nature thrives and adventures are plentiful.

Based on the much-loved novels by Tove Jansson, this heart-warming show tells the story of a year in Moominvalley. Moomintroll wakes up in the middle of winter with a ‘something-wrong-feeling’.

There’s no sign of his good friend Snufkin, or the note Snufkin left him. As winter turns to spring Snufkin returns, the days lengthen into a lazy summer and ‘the sea brings them all the adventures they could wish for’.

Discover a world where anything is possible. Magical puppetry, an ingenious pop up book set, original music and interactive play will delight young audiences and encourage them to immerse themselves in a unique participatory story-telling. Expect snow, surprises and plenty of Moomin mischief!

Sophia Jansson, Creative Director of Moomin Characters, said: “Mischief and Mystery in Moominvalley is an engaging and hugely entertaining show that brilliantly embodies themes from Tove’s original stories such as love, family, respect and fun – universal values that are more important today than ever before.

“I am so excited that the show will bring these essential values to an even wider audience.”

“A beautifully-realised, charismatically-led event, able to both command energy and captivate attention”
