Now in their eleventh year as the UK’s leading Northern Soul band, The Northern Soultrain return to Darwen Library Theatre this June for what promises to be yet another big soul party.

The nine piece North West group had already been filling dance halls and dance floors with their powerful live shows when in 2013 the band decided to focus mainly on Northern Soul.

Since then the band have gone from strength to strength gaining high praise from venues and audiences all over the country.

In 2014 the group delivered a headline performance at the towns showcase ‘Darwen Live Festival’ helping to bring the main stage to a rousing finale on the final day of the event.

Fronted by their charismatic lead singer Darrell Smith, The Northern Soultrain also present the blistering sounds of the ‘Union Pacific Horns’, now featuring saxophonist Tony Marshall (Kyla Brox).

Darrell said: “We can’t wait to bring our show to Darwen in June and Darwen Library Theatre is a great little venue with the bonus of being a hometown gig for two of us in the band.”
