Roachford + Paul Stuart Davies
Roachford released their latest album ‘Encore’ in March 2016 This powerfully emotive and soulful album brilliantly showcases Andrew’s unique song Interpretation of some classic tracks and brings a fresh take in a way only he can.
Andrew Roachford’s maverick take on music has spread far and wide. As the first artist to sign a staggering seven-album deal with Columbia Records, it heralded the beginning of something big. “Getting signed and being a black British artist gave me a sense of pride” enthuses Andrew.
Andrew was Columbia’s biggest selling domestic act for over ten years achieving Platinum and Gold selling albums, 4 Top 30 albums and 8 Top 40 singles. As if any more proof were needed, the fact that Andrew Roachford has been approached by such luminaries as Michael Jackson and Chaka Khan to write songs, speaks volumes
Support from Paul Stuart Davies
Paul Stuart Davies was born in Manchester in 1982 and began performing professionally in his teens. Paul’s love of Motown (the music of Marvin Gaye in particular) lead to fronting 9-piece band ‘The SoulTrain’ and performing at iconic soul venues such as Blackpool Tower Ballroom and Blackburn’s King George’s Hall.
In 2015 Paul decided to take on a performance career outside of the band and, following an endorsement from Janis Gaye (Marvin’s wife), landed himself a spot at ‘The World’s Biggest Northern Soul Weekender’ at Butlins Skegness where he performed alongside Motown greats Kim Weston, Brenda Holloway, The Velvelettes and The Contours.
